The Inspiration Behind Ember & Pine's Inception

Unofficially created three years ago, Ember & Pine was founded from a holiday tradition. As the artist and mastermind behind it all, I made it a custom to visit local village shops and purchase an ornament that resonated with me. My ornament of choice was always a cardinal. One year, I decided to paint one myself after acquiring a new bauble. As I placed my hand-painted cardinal next to the purchased ornament, I noticed that the latter was not handcrafted but was, in fact, printed. This realization inspired me to hang only hand-painted cardinals from that day forward. Although they may not be perfect, unlike the printed ones, these ornaments showcase visible brush strokes and imperfections that only a trained eye could detect. Nevertheless, they are crafted with care, passion, and natural beauty. And so, Ember & Pine came to life.
